How do you adjust the audio levels in the audio tracks?

Hey everyone:

I'm having trouble figuring out how to manually adjust the audio levels of the track within Vegas Pro 12,
I was hoping to create a couple of points in the track so I can adjust the level, (like they do with the video envelope for doing slow mo) Is it possible? If it is, how can it be done? I pasted a photo down below to illustrate what I mean.

Thanks!

Robert

It's very easy to do.

Select the track you want to add an envelope to.

Either right-click the track header and select "Insert / Remove Envelope -> Volume", or use the Insert menu and choose "Audio Envelopes -> Volume"

A line will appear across the middle of the track. You can now right-click anywhere on that line and select "add point" to add a new point, and then move them up and down as you wish.

A handy trick is that if you add four points in a line and the click and drag the line down somewhere between the middle two points, it brings both of those two points down at the same time, thereby creating an instant fade.

Cheers
Dave

Just select the track and press "V".

in terms of sound (this is what I do when I have "uneven" sound and normalization doesn't work that well) go to audio track )on left side) click on "Track FX" choose "wave hammer surround" and choose medium compression; see how it will change laoder and softer sound of the trackline - it works for me better than normalization
