Question About Rendering/Authoring for Blu-Ray

I've been shooting in HD60i and simply changing the Vegas project properties to the standard NTSC 720x480 widescreen template to edit and render for DVD. We are now beginning to offer Blu-Ray. Is there any reason I can't continue that workflow, but change the project template back to match the source footage and re-render the project for authoring to Blu-Ray?
