Armimg the Record Bitton in an audio track

I have plugged a mic into my computer and am trying to record voice over and I cannot arm the arm for record button on the track. It is grayed out. Please help.

can you record to windows own recorder?

have you checked windows 'recording devices'?

Have you set the input channel for that track so it know where to find the sound?
