How was this Heat Haze effect made?
I saw all these nice looking heat haze effects done in After Effects. However, I stumbled across one very short video on Vimeo which says it's done in Vegas.
I was wondering how this effect is done?

The Wave effect maybe? Very short looped key frame animation with very fine adjustment to all the vertical and horizontal parameters maybe? Worth having a play. Would be interested to find out.
