VHS Wobble

Working on an archived VHS digitization that has some extreme wobble towards the end of the film.

I'm linking to a sample:

Is there anything I can do?
thanks

It is desirable to use another VCR, preferably with a built-in TBC.

If you don't have a VCR with a built in TBC, then look into the Green Valley (formerly Canopus) ADVC300. It's no longer being manufactured but Amazon has two used ones for sale. Good luck.

Re: VHS Wobble

I posted this question in creativecow too but I figured I'd try here:

Does anybody know of a more advanced digitization service (mail-in) that has machines that have TBC to do this cleanup? I have a line on a Canopus 300 but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it, and most of them are way out of my price range.

thanks

Re: VHS Wobble

For me it looks rather like a defective VCR (drum or tape vibration) than a lack of efficient TBC.

I agree with Juris, looks like a VCR problem. Have you tried another VCR?

I still own a Mitsubishi HS-U61 high end VCR with twin digital auto tracking described here: https://news.google.com/newspapers?n...0,897499&hl=en

I can try to capture that tape for you.
