workflow speedbump of auto fading audio

Hi, I'm doing a lot of cutting and pasting between vegas projects. I find that vegas automatically fade-in and fade-out each clip that I add to another project. Any way to turn this off?

Also, just turning off this in general would be awesome. Since I need to go through an entire project before final cut and remove every fade at the start and end of an audio clip.

Are you referring to audio or video?

How about a snapshot showing what you are seeing/getting?

This is two clips butted up against each other. The audio always gets automatically faded-in and faded-out. Which I need to remove one by one at the end before my final render of a project (or the audio stutters).

Actually, you want that to happen. If it doesn't, you might get a slight popping noise. You can define the length in the preferences. Default is 10ns. And, yes, you can turn it off - Options - QuickFade Audio Edits

In addition, if you're doing a project where you already know you want an audio fade at almost every spot you make a cut, you can set the value to 1000 milliseconds and get an automatic 1 second fade instead of putting one in manually every time.

I recently did this with several audio-only projects where the material was being cut down and rendered to dozens and dozens of individual files and it was very helpful.
