Apply effects to multiple clips at once

Lets say i want to add an effect to multiple clips from one camera, across an entire project, for example sharpen.
I know how to add an effect, go to the timeline, select events to end but that will add the effect to other cameras and clips, so that's no good.
What i need to do, i think, is select the clips in the project media tab, highlight all the clips from the camera that i want to effect,(ctrl-left click, they all highlight, right click, media fx, add the effect) however the effect is not being added to all the highlighted clips.
One of the cameras needing the effect will also be used in a multicamera track, so effects can't be added until after.
My predicament, main camera, HC-X1 shooting 4k-50p, second camera EX1 shooting 720-50p (i want the 50p), final output is 1080-50p, so i want to add a slight sharpen to the 720-50p across the project, then maybe add effects to individual clips also as i need to.
Other option, EX1 1080-25p (it doesn't do 1080-50p) then force resample on those clips, that makes it look less juddery(25p), the problem with that, the default setting on vegas project is smart resample, i was getting problems with smart resample such as frames skipping on the rendered files from HC-X1 clips, with resample disabled across the project (vegas 14) i have no problems.
Is there a way to force resample on selected clips without doing it individually to each clip ?

Can anyone advise ?
Thanks, Paul.

Re: Apply effects to multiple clips at once

Worked it out.
Open another copy of vegas, put clips to be altered on that timeline, apply the effects, select events to end, paste, all clips affected, then just copy the clips into the 1st copy of vegas as and when i need them, so i'm sort of using vegas 2 as a media bin for vegas 1.

Paul.

Re: Apply effects to multiple clips at once

There is some alternatives:
Using Paste event atributes,
Applying effect to theTrack,
Applying effect to the Parent Track.
Vegas 14 allow to apply switches like resample or properties like field order simultaneously to all selected klips on timeline.

Or use a script to add the effect to all selected events... Many options available.
