output your DSLR footage in your home TV screen

Hallo,

as i'm requesting in the title i was wondering wht's your workflow after you edit your 1920x1080 25p footage coming from DSLR to be played on your home TV. When i film with my fx1 HDV camera i used to render everything in 1080 50 i m2t extension. Nowaday if i want to keep the best resolution from my 1920x1080 DSLR footage what kind of extension should i use? I mean if i don't want to burn a BR disc but i want just have a file to be played on my pc or tv trough google Chromecat what render setting should i use?
Many thanks for helping me

I format a USB thumb drive to NTSF.
I save the video file to MP4 format.
Adjust the bit rate to whatever gives you the best video for the size USB drive you use.
Plug the thumb drive into your television's USB jack, select the USB drive on your television's menu, select the video you want to play.
This is how I deliver my oral history interviews.

Use Handbrake to encode it as a mpeg 4.

ok the priject is 1920 *1080 25p interlaced method=progressive
what setting should i render before handbreak? from what i thought not 1440*1080 m2t cause i m losing definition; so what 's the best uf i don't have a BR ?

Just export it using the resolution and format it was filmed in. Export a small clip to see what Handbrake will import. The last step is find out whether it’s compatible with Chomecast. Many of these streaming devices can be particular about what format they will play.

Pete if i try to export with the same resolution i only find BR 1920x1080 but it's just the video track for the authoring not a format with video and audio. That's why i used the m2t (downscaling i know...).

You might need to upgrade to a more fully featured video editing software. There are some decent ones for under $100.

In Vegas 11 there is a Main Concept .mp4 setting for internet HD 1080. You can adjust the settings to suit your desired bitrate, etc.

Trying Vegas 11 for the first time...
I rendered in _MXF as when i went to match to project properties i saw only audio files as options...
How MXF format is?
