Rendering for DVD Architect
Hello,
I am a new member and I would like to post my first question. I've been searching and reading and sure you guys are all very Knowledgeable. I would like to ask this question, after I finished editing in Vegas. in Reneder As field which template I need to choose? My camera is Canon A1 and I use DV24f 16:9. Can I use the defult template or not? Thank you |
You'll render to the NTSC 23.976 Add Pulldown widescreen MPEG template. This will generate a DVD A compliant MPEG for creating your DVDs

Hi Douglas,
First of all thank you for quick answer,I just rendered the clip using DVD Architect 24p widescreen video stream. But there is no sound. What am I doing wrong? Thanks Matthew |
you also need to also render an AC3 audio file. There is a tool on the VASST site called "DVD Prep" that is free, that will assure your project renders the correct assets if you think it might help you.

What you do is select a loop region to render. When you render your video, check "Render Loop Region Only" in the render dialog box.
Then, using the same loop region, do the same when you render your AC-3 file. This will ensure that the audio and the video match. Make sure you save the file with the same file name, and into the same folder, as the video. Then, you drop/import your video into DVD Architect, DVDA will automatically bring in and match up the audio. Assuming this is only stereo and not 5.1, you can actually render as either AC-3 or PCM (default .WAV). AC-3 takes up less space, but PCM is less compressed and can be higher quality. If you use PCM, be sure to make your DVD Architect project settings PCM. |
