Audio POPs and Crackles

When rendering out a clip on Vegas the track developes pops and snaps in the audio much like the sound on an record (anybody remember those ha?) The noises can be seen in the audio clip as vertical lines. They get worse each time a render the track when layering back ground overlays ect. I know I can sink up the good sound after I'm done layering but even then when I render the clip I get the noises.

Anybody have any idea what is going on?

OK I'm lame...Just looked below after posting this and saw that someone else had the same question. I will try the solution suggested. Sorry folks
