How To Batch Render M2T to Connect Intermediate

I recently purchased a Canon XH AI (very happy with it), and I've been working with the footage in Vegas 7. I'm not too happy with the performance of Vegas working with the M2T files...sometimes playback is choppy, simple dissolve hardly preview, can't preview effects, etc.

So I rendered a few clips to the Connect Intermediate 24p codec, and the performance was much better (i know the clips are huge). I have about 200 M2T clips I want to convert to the Connect Intermediate. I want to find a way to batch render these clips, how can I do this? The batch render script that comes with Vegas seems to only work with clips on the timeline. What can I do?

Thanks,
Jason

You can drag the clips to the timeline, set regions around each, and use the batch render to create cineform intermediate files. You'll lose your filenames, they'll now be named by region numbers.

You can download the trial of ConnectHD from cineform.com, try it and see if you like it. It includes a batch converter app that will preserve filenames.

Awww crap..... that sounds entirely too usefull which means that is another ~$190 I'll be spending on software. That last year has been extremely expensive for software. Cinescore (& Ring pack), a graphics app $100, and now this AND a possible jump to Vegas7. I might need to pick which is more important, Cineform or Vegas7.

thanks for the info though.
