Audio Peaking

Working on a video and the audio from a DJ keeps peaking. The cameraman should of probably adjusted his levels, however is there anyway through Vegas of a plugin of Vegas to eliminate the peaking buzz?

when you say PEAKING is it just in the red OR is the audio actually clipping?
If it's clipping there isn't much you can do but if it's NEAR clipping but hasn't try track FX; COMPRESSION (on the track bus), WAVE HAMMER(on the master bus).
Generally what I do is set the track bus to a soft limiter 3db and the master bus to a hard limiter 6db and master to 16 bit.
This seems to soften up any goofs and pretty much keeps it below the red-of course you can also adjust levels by using an envelope, the level adjuster on the track header or the levels on the busses.

Don't know if this is the right thing to do, but it seemed to work for me. I just brought the gain down on a too loud, distorted audio track shot at a wedding reception. It turned an unrecognizable song into something that didn't sound too bad, and it didn't affect volume when rendered. Just click and pull the gain line down on the track and experiment with were it sounds best. It's a fast easy adjustment.

Good luck.
