Architect Freeze

Despite my Vegas and audio-work (which is always stuffed with realtime VST-fx), my workflow in DVD Architect seems to slowdown my PC (2.8 cpu, 768 mem).
I added a 30 minute movie in the project. I want to set 3 "chapter markers". Now scrolling towards these approx points seems to stress my PC, which results in slow search/display of the frames in the "timeline". It took me about 7 minutes to do this.
Does someone has an advice?
