can't capture in vegas 6
 

I have a cheap $200 samsung dv camera and when I try and capture in vegas 6d, I "think" vegas sees the cam because I can click capture and "capture duration c0unts off. But the screen is just black and no audio. This is in external capture mode. when I try internal, it just says "no device". Any pointers?
