DLT Tape Question
Nevermind, found my answers after a bit of searching.

You might want to see if your replicator will accept DDP files rather than the DLT. This is how we do our multilayer, etc discs.
In DVDA, go to the Mastering Tab after you've selected the "Make DVD" option. This writes each layer to a separate file, and can include copyright tags, etc. the DDP layers are then burned to a DVD5 as a data file, and can be imported by any replicator that accepts DDP, and they can test it on the Eclips system. |
I'm running 2.0 and for some reason the only tab I have other than the standard "next, back, and finish" is "optimize" and there's no info under there in regards to regions and such. Does 2.0 not have this capability?
|
No. You cannot write a DLT with DVD A 2.0.

Actually I meant the absence of the "mastering" tab on my screen!

Would that mean that the program automatically sets the region to 0 or is there no way of knowing?
|
you can have your replicator set regions. Default is region Zero, I believe, but please don't replicate on my belief. You'll want to dig into that. I don't have DVD A 2.0 installed any longer or I'd be happy to look more deeply.

Thanks for your help Douglas. I think I'll be upgrading my software rather soon as it is clearly apparent I am behind the times!
