emailing clip

i'm trying to send a clip (only 20 seconds).i've used the vegas email settings I THINK.when i check it as an attatchment the quality is very poor any help greatly appreciated.used out put media internet high quality.

I'm not familiar with Vegas, so I can't really help there, but in general, I think it makes sense to point out that e-mailing video is almost always a bad idea. Not only are a majority of clips generally larger than many e-mail systems allow for file attachments, but you also have to worry about mail filters potentially blocking your message(s).

It's much better to get your video hosted on a web server, and then to provide a link via e-mail to your intended recipients. That way, your e-mails are very small, and much less likely to be filtered out of your recipients' mailboxes.

I've never used the email settings, so I'm not sure what the result should be.
But if you need to email larger files try using www.yousendit.com
You upload a file to their servers and an email is sent to the recipient with a link right to that file.

You don't have to worry about email filters or anything like that.

The basic service is free and there is a paid option as well.

I used it to have an editor shoot me low res qt rough cuts for approval and it works great.

just to add to my confusion,today i spoke to the bloke who recieved my email and he said it came out great.why it was all blury when i looked at the atatchment i don't know.thanks again rick
