Vegas 7 HDV tutor needed in Boston MA or Portland ME area
I have a bunch of HDV tapes shot at 60i and I'd like to put together a rough cut on Vegas 7. What I think I need is to sit with somebody and get two or three hours of instruction in Vegas HD workflow and basic documentary-style editing on a PC, so I don't make too many mistakes right at the beginning. It has to be Vegas--I can't switch to Final Cut or Avid now.
I can pay $50 per hour. I'm a writer and I live in South Berwick, Maine. Any thoughts? Is this the right place to post this? Many thanks. |
Don't forget that Vasst.com has Vegas tutorial DVDs. I'll give you a review in about a week as I go through them.

Would appreciate a review of these discs as well. |
Jason, I highly recommend the Color Correction DVD.
Glenn Chan does a superb job of explaining complex things in an easy manner. As far as the audio DVD goes, this is one of Jeffrey Fisher's specialties so I'm sure it's excellent as well. Keep in mind that it's primary focus is noise reduction. He has a few more titles (not sure if they're books or DVDs) listed on his own site at http://www.jeffreypfisher.com/ |
Thanks Marcus. I've ordered the VASST videos. It helps enormously to see somebody do it, though, using the actual material.
