How To Make Time Lapse

Hi All,

I have a 30 minutes DV footage that I like to make Time Lapse. My camera is Canon XHA1.
Can someone please tell me as how I can create it in Vegas 7d? or do I have to use other programes?

Thanks in advance
Matthew

In my opinion, the easiest way to do this is to speed the footage up.
Fisrt of all, insert a velocity envelope and drag it up to maximum (300%).
Now right-click on the event, select properties and change the Playback rate from 1.0 to 4.0.
The combination of these two results in a 12X speed increase which means that your 30 min. clip now only takes 2.5 min.
If you need it to be even faster, render it to a new track and apply either/both of these tricks again.
