Combining projects

This is a great forum with a lot of enthusiastic members!

To simplify I have broken down this current project into several .vegs. When I combine them the audio track takes on the properties of the existing track it is put into. I can put the audio on a new track and it does not change it's properties. Are there other options to combine projects where each added project keeps it's own properties?

Thanks! Rus
