Interlaced and progressive on the same timeline

Hi,
How can I know if an event on the timeline is interlaced or progressive ?
How will vegas handle a mixed timeline ?
If I intend to deinterlace, will vegas skip the progressive events and deinterlace only the interlaced events ?
Couldn't find answers for this ,so help will be appreciated .

Vegas doesn't care about interlaced or progressive, it will conform the media to the project settings.
If you want to know the specifics a particular clip, select that clip in the Vegas explorer, and the details will be seen in the bottom of the explorer.
Or, right click the media and look at Properties while the media/event are on the timeline.

Yes.

If you export or render as with a progressive template/setting, then Vegas will de-interlace the interlaced footage. De-interlace mode (none / blend fields / interpolate) is set in your project settings I think.
