K-Tek Adds to Line of Boom Poles

Vista, California, 24 April 2015 — K-Tek, known throughout the professional audio industry for award-winning microphone boom poles, accessories and audio equipment bags, introduces three new boom poles.

To fulfill the needs of boom pole operators who require a pole with more reach and a shorter collapsed length, K-Tek introduces the K225 Klassic Boom Pole. Continuing the legacy of the original K-Tek Boom Poles, the K225 offers lightweight high-density graphite tubing, dimpled aluminum collars, and a captive collet design. It is available in an uncabled and a cabled side-exit XLR model. The cabled XLR version features a newly designed, low profile, right-angle connector at the top for quick access. A popular side-exit XLR is on the bottom. This versatile 6-section pole extends from 4’ 10” to 18’ 8” (147cm to 569cm) and weighs just 2.9 pounds (1.2kg). List price starts at: $705.

Two additional poles round out K-Tek’s Avalon line that’s known for high quality and professional features while being cost-effective. The KEG54 is a 3-section graphite pole that extends from 1’10” to 4’6” (56cm – 137cm) and weighs in at just half a pound (227g). It is designed for entry-level boom operators and students, as well as pros working in remote locations that need a very small and lightweight boom pole. List price is $249.

The Avalon KE60, is a 2-section aluminum pole that extends from 2’10”- 5’ (86cm – 152cm) and weighs just .7 pounds (312g). It’s a perfect starter pole for those looking for a quality, yet low cost solution. The list price is $129.
