As far as I know, it's practically impossible to create frame packed Blu-rays at home at the moment. It's possible to create the 1920x2205 frames, certainly, but you need an MVC encoder and those are very thin on the ground. x264 is a very good AVC encoder (and Blu-ray compatible these days) but it can't do MVC. Well, not yet, at least.

You are right. My description was originally imprecise. I just needed a stream to test HDMI 1.4a. I am o.k. now. Not only that authoring 3D BD for home is unavailable, even pressed 3D BD's are not on the market to my knowledge except for demos and bundled discs with a purchase of hardware. It's like the days when we were switching to HD in the US. The gear and content were not coming up in sync. At least we have some 3D broadcast feed, but that comes from "squeezed" sources.

"Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" is available for purchase as Blu-ray 3D. Perhaps "Aliens vs. Monsters" is too. I'm not 100% sure of that, though. I've got both and a few others from bundles.
