Sony 3D Camcorder rears it's head again
Sony unveils professional 3-D camcorder
At least the interaxial distance is significantly narrower than the 3DA1. There will reportedly be two different 3D cameras on display at the Sony booth. This one and another based on the EX3 body aptly named the EX3D. Both still vaporware until then though. |

I've seen this in a glass display case twice since IBC. From the looks of it the interaxial is about the same as the 3DA1... maybe even bigger. This is a full-size pro camcorder so the scale makes it appear that the stereo-base is smaller.

This picture shows the size and scale well :-)
It must be considered that this is prototype so the finished camera may or may not be quite different. |

Alister, what's your best guess as to the lens interaxial distance?

65mm on the prototype, almost certainly.

I thought they were aiming for 37mm.

You're thinking of the TD10. $1499 consumer product.
