i read the exchanges re marzpak so i went to the site to see how it looks. i am looking for an xmas gift for my husband and i know for sure he will not use it. has anyone tried the studio1 mini dv shoulder brace? http://www.studio1productions.com/dvbrace.htm please tell me if this is any good for travel, home and wedding (not professional) shoots. are there other equipment i should consider? he is an average 5'10" about 170 lbs. 45 yrs old and quite fit.

Hi, this is my first post in this forum. I recently bought a Wings shoulder brace. I also bought 1 kilo lead (plumbum) from a diveshop and taped that on the backend as a counterbalance. It works very well with my Panasonic MX300. A friend of mine uses the same shoulder brace with a 2-kilo piece of lead. He has a Canon XM1.

thanks. i went to the wings website. it is in german. was wondering if you know if it is compatible with the sony vx2000. don't worry if you don't, i will have it translated. thank you for this tip.

I emailed with divicom.de in english. E-mail address: quandt@divicom.de. They will reply in english as well.

The shoulder brace is solid and sturdy, however the supplied quick release system is just plastic. It is OK for my light weight Panasonic MX300, but I think you have to exchange the quick release system for a better one when using the shoulder brace with a VX2000.
