over exposed correction if pp cs3
hi all am just new to this game, am trying to grasp as much as i can i read through a lot of posts here but couldnt find anything that can help me out..
my problem is i just got myself a new toy xha1 and shoot some footage but due to my lack of knowledge shooting under sun without any nd filter showed that the footage was overexposed now how do i go about correcting this in pp cs3. can anyone please shed some light... thanks to all of you pros in advance |
Hi Mickey,
You can try levels or shadow highlights or some other control/color correction filter but if your footage is much overexposed you wont be able to repair it (all the information abobe 100% luminance is already lost). Cheers |
Try going in the "video Effects" click on "Ajust" and select "Auto levels Adjust". Drag it into the affected clip. render it, and it should improve.

Thanks steve and martin i will give that a go again, i already tried to do some color correction but it still didnt give me a good picture, as said previously its very new to me and i think i will have to make sure that i get all the footage correct rather than doin it in the premiere cs3.
