Keeps crashing....PLEASE HELP ME!

Premiere CS3 keeps disappearing suddenly. I think that it only does it when im rendering, it's HD footage if that makes a difference. Premiere just closes with out any warning and i keep losing my work. Very fustrating.

Anything spring to mind. Any updates?

Thanks Matt

Are all your hardware drivers up to date? Sounds like you have a hardware conflict.

Is the crash repeatable, that is, does it happen upon the same area of the timeline? When rendering, watch the frame count until the event. Then change the sequence from minutes/seconds to frames and go to the frame where the crash happened. You may have a single corrupt clip or file. If it's a graphic, such as a large tiff. Then copy that graphic to a seperate sequence. Render it to a video clip. Replace the original with the video clip.

You may also have corrupt temporary files, or a temp file on a bad drive sector. Close the project. Delete the temp files. Reopen the project. Re-render after new temps are created.

If your still having issues... or just want to tune it better...
go to the video guys website and they have an article on
tunning your computer for video editing... works wonders
on older computers
