What is maine diferent between Adobe CS3 and Vega 8
 

Hi,I am new her and I reed a lot in this forum ,but can you let me know please what is maine diference Adobe vs Vegas?
I am planing use with Canon A1.Do I realy need card for real time editing?If yes I am thinking about Canopus EDIUS NX for HDV.
Can you direct me please.

Not answer ,I try myself free trials from Sony and Adobe. I decide go with Adobe at this time.But both software looks fine for editing.I am also photographer and I am familiar with other Adobe great products.

Differences
 

It seems to me that Vegas(out of the box) supports more formats than Premiere does. Aside from that, they do the same thing pretty much. Vegas handles 24p in a more user-friendly way than Premiere does. Also, Vegas has awesome audio editing tools.

That said, I use Premiere because I like the video editing tools it has, plus After Effects is my main app for Visual FX, Color Grading, Onlining, etc... so Premiere has great interoperability with After Effects.

Also, in the timeline, Vegas treats video like audio (you can drag clips into each other instead of having to apply a crossfade.) I believe this is an advantage.

Just to be clear, Vegas can export AAF files and those files can be imported into After Effects and it will open your timeline with the basic structure/cuts there.

I love both but these are the things that stand out to me.

They're both great tools and I actually use both of them.
