What version of Encore are you running? A lot of folks had sync problems with 1.0 before the patch. Make sure you update Encore.

Encore version
I'm running Encore 1.5, so I guess that's not it. I might check for updates anyway, though. Thanks.

Digging this old thread up because the problem remains.
I am using PPro2 and Encore 2 (production studio). I capture in NTSC AVI of course and only use wavs... and after editing, export my 2 hour long movies w/ adobe media encoder to mpeg2. Everything plays back fine on the computer but after burning it to DVD, an hour or so into the DVD, the audio is slightly out of sync. It's not very bad but noticeable. Is this just Encore being lame? |
Out of sync
Hi Mark,
I never did find out what was causing the problem, nor how to fix it. For what it's worth, I ended up exporting my project to tape (onto 2 DV tapes - had to create a split point) and then I paid a professional video editing house to put them back together and burn my finished product to DVD. Obviously not an optimal solution but I was in a hurry at the time. (In my case there was no syncing problem when exported to tape.) Good luck. I'd be interested to hear if anyone finds a solution. i wonder... does exporting the movie w/ PCM audio format (instead of MPEG) help?
