New to CS4. Need help with menu......
 

I have viewed many tutorials both online and from the disc supplied with CS4. I simply cannot find the help I need.
I've been using Elements for over four years now and I have just recently made to jump to CS4. I have found everything I need in the way of Effect Controls, etc., etc. I simply cannot figure out how to make a menu with scene markers that select the different scenes on the timeline. Also, is there a way to preview the menu in CS4 before I burn the project?

Do I use the flowchart on Encore?? If so, how.
Maybe someone knows of a tutorial that will answer my question(s).

Menus are made in Encore, not in Premiere Pro. There are a large number of templates available to get you started.

1. Export your movie to Encore.

2. In Encore either select a menu template from available templates or create one on your own in Photoshop (see Encore help file about menus, it's pretty well-written and concise). Right click on the menu in the project window and select "play first"

3. Import your movie, with it selected click on "new timeline" icon or option in menu. Open the timeline.

4. Using CTI find the scenes that you want to include. On each of them place a chapter marker

5. In menu select the placeholder and from properties "link" drag the lasso icon to a selected chapter or select proper chapter from menu that unfolds. Repeat for all the chapters.

To preview project press shift+space or select "preview from here".

Generally Encore help file is a great resource by itself.
