After Effects CS5.5 Stabilizer

It works great, folks, using the defaults. You drop the warp stabilizer effect on a clip. Then wait a few minutes while it performs an analysis, and I do mean a few minutes. A thirty second clip could be cranked on for ten minutes or so using an 8gb quad-core machine. I played around a little bit with the options but have been satisfied with the defaults.

Vincent Laforet had good things to say about this.

It's good to an extent, but it won't fix everything. For the most part though it seems to work great.

Generally it's an excellent stabilizer. I found only one instance, where it was unable to cope with the problem: dolly shot where there was some movement in the foreground, and the whole shot was a little bit shaky as well. I had to use a manual tracker for this.
