importing multiple camera DSLR clips in correct order
 

Whats the best way to get all clips done by 3 different dslrs onto the one timeline in the order they were shot?
I tried to put all clips in the one folder, rearrange them by date shot and then import them but they dont come into premier in that order.

Any help , what do you guys do?

There is no timecode in DSLR footage.

What that means is there is no automated way to order clips. Best bet would be import the files in the order they were shot on all the cameras, number the clips as you run through them, and start the long tedious process...

Another one of the downsides of DSLRs (although I love em).

yea i know it sucks. but all of the clocks in each of my cameras are set the same.
The clips can be arranged in the order they were shot in witin a folder on the windows 7.
Just not imported in that order. which really sucks.
Surely there is a way to get them into premier in that order?
What about an external auto renamer that can do it?
Does such a thing exist?

Remember im not looking to sync anything just yet, i have plural eyes for that.. So this should be do-able regardless of timecode or not. Im just looking to have the clips brought into premier and dropped on timeline in the order of time they were shot, regardless of camera shot with.

Ok i just tried it again and it seemed to work this time.
clips came in and drop on timeline in the order of time they were shot.
