Changing frame rate in Premiere
Hello all
Are there any plug-ins out there for Premiere that will let you use motion vector based frame interpolation to smoothly and accurately change between frame rates, right on the timeline? thanks! /ben |

Is that the ONLY solution out there?! /b |
Re: Changing frame rate in Premiere
Hello, I suggest using Framerate Converter which is an preset for After Effects, very easy to use, fast and efficient (and free). You can send the project from Premiere to After Effects, apply the preset and render the final comp. Here it is:
VIDEO COPILOT | After Effects Tutorials, Plug-ins and Stock Footage for Post Production Professionals Watch the tutorial and then download the "project files" which is the preset iteslf(install it in program files/adobe/after effects/support files/presets). Good luck!!! |
Re: Changing frame rate in Premiere
I think Benjamin was asking for a Premiere-only solution. To be honest, I'd love to have optical flow implemented in Premiere as well. Using AE for this is too much pain and unnecessary waste of time. Especially since Premiere has quite decent retiming tools. Just the interpolation algorithms leave much to be desired.

Re: Changing frame rate in Premiere
You can use twixtor within premiere - Last place that I worked at that had it I could just drag and drop it right onto the clip. I never did that because it involved more than just twixtor usually and I round tripped a comp with AE for every time, but I could have done it that way.

Justin - yes, I suggested Twixtor at the beginning. It's a pretty expensive plugin though.
