Re: SpeedGrade question
I'm also considering Resolve as SG about killed my hard drive space on a recent project. Not loving the workflow and the limited surface support and not being able to customize the keyboard are letdowns. The search continues. Cheers

Re: SpeedGrade question
Its early days for SpeedGrade, be patient.
I am loving Resolve Lite in the mean time. I now need a degree in brain surgery to work it all out. There are plenty of good tutorials on YouTube for Resolve, just do a search. |
Re: SpeedGrade question
There is a fairly recent update to Speedgrade (as well as most of the CS6 apps too) if you check for them through Adobe Updater.
I found that SG worked a lot better after the last update. Before the update, I couldn't make it do anything. Also, you may want to try exporting an EDL from Premiere and then opening in SG if you don't want to wait for a conversion to DPX. As long as all your footage is supported in SG it works great! Even with all of that, it's still not ready for prime-time yet since there is no way to accommodate changes in the edit. Unless you have an iron-clad image lock on your final edit, SG is a problematic solution for now... Making a simple change in your edit will mean having to re-grade your whole project... bummer! |
