Premier Pro 2 Crashes - HELP

I have been using Premier Pro 2 for a couple weeks now without incident. However, today I attempted to use the titler for the first time and premier crashed after I typed a couple letters. I tried again and it crashed as soon as I clicked to add a title. I restarted the computer and tried again, but it is still crashing.

Does anyone else have this problem or know a solution?

I've been using PPro 1.0 for the last couple of years and the titler was always the one thing that would get it to crash (rarely anything else). Was hoping that was fixed in 2.0, but it appears not.

That's odd. I haven't noticed the titler causing stability problems in Premiere Pro 1.5, and I can't remember it causing Premiere Pro to crash in version 1, either.

I figured it out

I figured out a work around so that the titler would not crash on me. For whatever reason when my camera is connected to the fire wire and turned on, the titler will crash. All I have to do is unplug the camera or turn it off and it works fine. This is the only issue I've had.

Hmm, interesting. Maybe it's an issue with Premiere trying to output the titler preview through your FireWire device? I'm running an RT.X100 so my preview setup is a little different. ;-)

I've Had No Titler Problems

Believe me, I've had my issues with PPro 2.0 but I strongly recommend the Adobe website forums board. You would not believe how helpful it has been. And, it is very easy to use. Just register (for free) and you can post any question. It has been my experience that every issue I've discovered in PPro 1.5 and 2.0 had already been posted, discussed and solved online by others willing to help. Give it a try. It really works.
