Flash in PPro2.0

Okay, so I'm rocking the Premiere Pro 2.0 and enjoying the heck out of it.

But here's the thing -- Premiere can export to Flash, which is cool. But it exports to FLV. How on earth do I get FLV to play, for example on a Web site? Don't FLV files need accompanying SWFs in order to make it all work nicey-nice?

Yep, unless you have Flash (or another, current, Flash authoring program) to make the .SWF file to place your .FLV in, you're SOL. I did the exact same thing. I was so fired up to start using Flash movies only to end up spending fifty bucks (which ain't all bad) for SWISHvideo2.

I still can't use the .FLVs created by PPro2, but I can at least use this program to take anything and make Flash modules to get the video online. Slick little program.

www.flvplayer.com if you don't want to make your .SWF files..

Basically download Flash 8 Pro Trial for 30 Days..Create your .SWF.

Insert your Video Frame
Link it to your .FLV (Don't Embed)
Done..

So far, I haven't been able to get any of these to work as well as the Swishvideo2 option. I'd still go with Swish.

Yeah swishVideo works for fast and easy.. Flash 8 is nice since it plays Flash 8 Encoded On2 videos plus you can built your player however you want.. I use an .XML to load a playlist lister..

At first when I read this I was like, "why is everyone having trouble with this?" Then I realised that I'm using dreamweaver, and dreamweaver creates the swf files for you when you import the flash video and select your player options. So the question you all are asking is, "how do I embed my flash video without using a app like dreamweaver?" Well you have to have the swf files if you want them to play. Dreamweaver and flash pro 8 both will make them for you from your flv files. I'm not sure about these other apps. Did anyone get them to work for you?

Cool site for comparing the encoding qualities of Flash..
