Workflow. Need help. HDV. High price.

Have read alot on this forum, but don't understand the workflow.

Have Premiere pro 2.0 and Encore DVD 2.0. Laptop Duocore T2300 (1,66Mhz). Sony HC1.

Last time i do converting in camera and output DV avi to Premiere and then export to Encore and let Encore transcode to DVD folder (Vob). Then export to tape from Premiere pro 2.0 and got DV.

I will have back to tape HDV so I later can export the edit HDV to HDD and convert to HD-DVD.

Why is a high priced Premiere need so much more high priced plugin?
Premiere Pro 2.0 can't scene detect. So i use HDVsplit0.75 and get a m2t file. Cineform Ascpect can do a good job editing in avi. Very high price. Then you have to got Procoder 2.0 to trancecode to mpg.
But iread that Encore is not good with Procoder 2.0?

I'm not willing to pay all this. So can i do something to skip Cineform?
Can i only use Procoder 2.0?
So to workflow. In Premiere pro 2.0 i use HDV 1080i 25.(PAL). Import m2t file. What to do then? Put down to timeline. Can i then use Canopus Procoder to transcode to canopus avi? Are I over to DV 720*576? For then i will not get HDV back to tape. This i don't understand who to do. Hope you can help me.

From PremPro you can capture HDV, albeit without scene detection. You can edit, albeit it puts a high stress on the CPU and RAM. You can export to DV, to MPEG2-DVD or to WMV HDV. You don't need to invest in costly plug-ins, but Aspect HD makes editing HDV material much easier. You don't need Procoder.

Try it out and see if the capturing and editing and export answer your needs. If it is too slow, either invest in Aspect HD or a faster PC.

Is there only Aspect HD I can use?
Vegas also use cinefirm? Edius does they also use cineform? Other program what did they do? Strange that encoding is alot of, but when HDV is only one, Cineform.

You don't need Cineform to edit HDV. Premiere supports native HDV editing. It is just slower than with Cineform. Nobody is forcing you to pay.

Who long will the render time bee on 1 hour movie with Premiere pro 2.0 and Encore DVD 2.0. Laptop Duocore T2300 (1,66Mhz) 1024mb memory without Aspect HD? And the time whit Aspect HD?

I don't know about render time, but playback/scrubbing time will be 4x as fast with Cineform than without.
