The truth about "combing"
I have been having a long, frustrating battle with "combing." I've tried to understand it, attempted to read every possible thread and explanation, and fix it with every method I know.
I need someone to break it down for me - explain to me the nuts and bolts and whys and wherefores of this bastardly problem. Why when I shoot 24p footage on the JVC HD100 does it get jagged edges every fourth frame in a Premiere Pro 2.0 24p project? What am I doing incorrectly? How do I fix this problem? I'd like to think that possibly because I capture with another camera this problem occurs, but it happens when I use the HD100 as well. I understand that deinterlace is a solution, but deinterlace softens the image. I'd appreciate if anybody who's faced this problem could chime in and help out. Thanks. |
