Clean up after editing

Hi

I have just finished my latest production, runtime 1hr 17min, and when I check the disk space used, I find the project directory to be 180MB. Most of this is probably unused clips, unused stills, test movie outputs in avi format etc etc.....

I want to clear out those unused bits I dont need to save. What's the best way to do this type of cleaning? PPro has the facility to remove unused clips from the project, and there is a facility to view used clips on an individual basis, via the Bridge. But how do I find files on the HDD that are not used at all in the project???? ( Delete the big ones and wait for the 'where is the file....' prompt?? )

I guess the best way is to delete them as I go, but as you probably appreciate, when you have a 'good idea', out goes the clip, in comes the idea, and before you know where you are , there is a lot of HDD clutter..... do you guys suffer from this problem too, or is it just me? Simple projects are no prob, but when you have 6-8hrs raw footage and a final output 1hr 17mins, this is what causes me the prob......

Any suggestions / comments appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

Collect your files using the Project Manager. You can choose to collect just the files you used. Write it all out to another directory, or another disk, and then delete the original directory.

Many thanks, Steven. I will give that a try.

Cheers
