Achieving Smooth Slo Mo

Hi there,

I have an XH A1 and PP2, and am wondering how I achieve smooth looking slowmotion? I'm currently just setting the speed to 40% on the clip duration/speed pull down.

Am I going completely wrong, or could anyone enlighten me?

Best,

Giles B

yes, there are much better wasy to achieve slow motion than just adjusting the speed of the clip. If you have after effects available to use, here is an article that explains the process. It involves shooting 60i with a final output of 24fps, but will work just fine if you output at 30fps(just a little less slow mo)
