Shooting 24 FPS film and editing 29.97 standard

I shot on film 24fps on a Bolex and am editing in Premiere Pro because my Avid is not working with my computer. I guess I have to edit for 29.97 but does that do anything at all?

Eric, are you by chance a student at Temple University?

Eric Goldberg June 15th, 2007 08:31 AM

No, but I know a lot about their program. I'm a film student at Savannah College of Art and Design.

Hi Eric,

I have a friend professor of architechture at SCAD - his name is Ronaszegi. Do you know him?

Joshua Clarke June 15th, 2007 03:14 PM

Eric,

My apologies. I thought with you being from Philly and using a Bolex, you were enrolled in Temple's film program.

As to your question of editing 16mm, the telecine will use the 2:3 pulldown to effectively make your footage 29.97. You can then edit the footage in Premiere's Standard DV project template. Does this answer your question?

Yes thank you very much

Eric Goldberg June 15th, 2007 08:22 PM

no i don't know any architecture professors.
