Thanks Jon. One pair of supporting rod mounts is certainly strong enough for the Mini + 2 mounting plates + AB Dionic 90 battery which weighs about 2 lbs. My concern was if I use the Hytron 140 battery which weighs about 5 lbs, would I need another pair of rod supporting mounts on the other mounting plate to support the extra weight?

The KPM with AJA Cheese Plate works well on the shoulder or on a tripod.
