Locking timecode for separate sound.
 

I have a project starting soon shooting on an Sony F3 to Kipromini where it would be preferable to lock timecode with a lockit box between the separate sound recorder and the Kipromini.

The issue I have is that I need to trigger record on the Kipro mini with record run timecode out from the SDI on the F3.
Is there a way around this?

Failsafe is using a clapperboard but the nature of the project is that it might not always be possible and timecode sync would make life much easier for the editor.
