Can anyone help me with this audio file?
Hello all!
I'm really new to this but I'm trying to do this stuff right for our church. I recorded this file of our sermon this past Sunday. I recorded the file directly from an out on our sound board via a RCA to mini jack into my Digital recorder. The attached file is just a short snippet of the sermon, but as you can hear the kind of metalic sound in the file. I can honestly say that I have NO IDEA what I'm doing when it comes to editing sound files. I'm using WAVEPAD as my editing software as it is free ware. The intended use of the track is for audio CDs and to use as an audio overlay track on the DVDs of the sermons. Any pointers as to what you would do to make this file sound better? I burned one cd of the track and you have to really crank up the volume to hear it well. Well now I realized that the forum will not allow me to add an attachment. So if anyone would like to help please shoot me an email and I can send you the file. (maybe you could tell me how to add an attachment?) thanks for all the help! Lowell |
Is it an MP3 file?
I'm guessing by the sound of your metallic description that the bitrate was too low. Increase this to 160kb/sec or higher and try recording again. Also change to mono if you're just doing speech to give you longer recording time. I'm pretty sure you can't do much to sweeten the poor recording up if low bitrate was the problem. Cheers |
