Pelican 1500

So I have two Sennheiser G2 100 mics. And I was looking at a pelican case for them, but the 1500 has deep foam core, with a thin layer on the bottom. I asked Pelican if they had thinner insides, and they didn't seem to.

So, I guess I could get a bunch of thing foam and just cut it out, I'm trying to figure out how to make the mic pieces embedded flush.

Anyone else use a pelican like this?

Hi Steve................

When you say you have "two G2 100 mics", what do you mean, exactly?

Do you mean the transmitter/ reciever pairs or something else?

I currently have my trans/ reciev sets in a flat plastic flip top case(from the local hardware store) with some thin foam cut so that it laps down the sides of the pre cast dividers and covers the bottom as well. There are individual pieces of foam cut to fit on top before shutting the lid. They're snug as!

The same case is home to all my mics, short cables, AA batteries and odds and sods.

The foam came from a local company that will cut anything you want to any shape you want, left them the case for a day and there it was, job done.

Magic.

Dear Steven,

You can purchase the pelican cases with "Pick and Pluck" foam.

With this, you just use your fingers to remove the small towers of foam that you do not need.

It is very easy to customize the foam so that your equipment fits properly.
