Pro-tools Scoring...

I recently started using pro tools for all my post sound, it's been great so far. But the virtual instruments provided are kind of limited. Does anyone use or know of any good/affordable instrument sample packs for scores?

Don't know if this is in your budget, if it is then it's awesome for creating those ambiant scores. It is a VST instrument and will work with pro-tools, the extra sounds you will be able to make will blow you away!

I don't personally own this - I know about it because my sound engineer used it to compose the underscore for my film "Fetch" and it produced some of the best electronic sounds I had ever heard.

Well worth the money if it is within your budget.

Bryce,

the "Vienna Instruments Special Edition" comes highly recommended. There is an extended version with a few more instruments. Prices range from $400 to $600 for these packages.

Here's the company's website:

Follow the "Video Tutorial" link at the bottom, and look for the "Special Edition" videos.

I cannot speak for the integration with Pro Tools, though.
