different mics on a single beachtek

I have to shoot a wedding for a friend. Currently I have an Azden shotgun mic for my GL2 and that's all I have. I figure I'll need to pick up a beachtek and a wireless lav mic setup so this is going to get pricey for me :), however, the question is.... is there any kind of problem using two different mics on my camera at the same time. I'm guessing the Azden shotgun will be a different impedence than whatever lav setup. I'm assuming I can dial in both mic separately but I'm old enough to be wary of assumptions and I'm not going to have much time to test out this gear. Any issues you can think of for me to be aware of when using a beachtek on a GL2 with one line going to a wireless Lav and the other to a wired Azden shotgun?

The Beachtek will help handle any impedance matching problems because of the transformers. I have mixed different types of microphones on a Studio 1 adapter with no problems.

Camcorders have relatively high input impedances so the microphone's output impedance normally is not a problem.

Just set everything up beforehand.

mike you were doing so well... :)

You were doing just fine till you added that last sentence. Since the Azden shotugn is all I have, i've not had experience setting up the wireless system or using a beachtek yet. So when you say, "normally not a problem"...and then "Just set everything up beforehand", you gotta figure I'm wondering what that means.

The gist of it was ...first I ask if there are any issues...then you say no..not really...just be sure to set it up beforehand. :0) That was too cruel. :)

Mike,
Do you know if the Canon MA-300 would handle this setup fine also? I am going to be doing the same thing soon, but I use the MA-300. Thanks for your help!
