Why is this so cheap....

Why is this a carbon fiber boom pole and 80 bucks at bh? i know theres no way to pull the wire through the pole, ill have to wrap it around, but is this a good deal for a first boom kit? than im going to get the Azden 2X.

That might be a good one, but Rode also makes one you can find for $100 or $110 that extends to 10 feet. I bought it, and I'm pretty happy. It's quite sturdy, even when fully out (it does bow a little under the weight of the mic and shock mount, but come on! It's 10 feet out by that point and cost you almost nothing!). It collapes/extends easily, and even has notches at both ends if you wanted to wire it internally. You'll have to slice off and reattach one end of the XLR cable to do so, though. There's just no way to get it through both ends. It's also a little heavy, to me, but then, maybe all 10 footers are. I don't know if BH has it, but just google Rode boom pole and it'll come up. Look for it for $99, 'cause I know it's out there for that price.

thanks =D, ya know if its carbon fiber?

Looks like no. My quick research has it listed as made of aluminum, and a "lightweight alloy." Google rode boom pole to find out more.
