Under camera mount for supporting wireless receiver.

I'm currently using Canon XH-A1s in my videography business. The issue I'm having is that I need the hot shoe mount on top for a video light but I also need somewhere to mount my Azden 200UPR wireless receiver.

I've looked at the Jimmy Box and also the Bebob Box. Both seem to be very nice but not a perfect fit for my application.

I once saw a bracket that was being sold direct from the manufacturer. It was basically a machined aluminum/steel bracket that allowed you to mount a couple receivers on the front and back of the unit using velcro straps. The bracket mounted under the camera. If I'm not mistaken the product had the name Quick Release in the title. I've searched everywhere online but can't seem to find it.

Can anyone tell me where to find the bracket I mentioned earlier or make a suggestion about another bracket that might work.

Thanks.

Hi Kyle,

Maybe something from Bracket1?

I have the Backet 1 system. I use it with the HVX-200 and two Lectrosonic 400 series wireless systems. It is excellent.

Dan, do you have a picture of those on your camera?

I like the Mini-Rover. It's a lot more robust than the picture makes it appear. It's machined out of aluminum. There's also an accessory that attaches to the mini-rover's hotshoe for mounting wireless units.

They also make a version with a passive mixer built into the handle, but I couldn't find it at B&H.

Kyle, instead of a box for your wireless, take a look at this neat little accessory from J-Rod.

It's called the J-Rod Twin (kind of looks like a sawed off broom handle with 2 cold shoes mounted on). It would go in your shotgun mic holder in the A1, then you simply attach the shotgun to one cold shoe and the wireless receiver to the other cold shoe.

I use this setup with my modded Sony FX1 (I have the Z1 mic holder attached to it so I have my cold shoe free if needed), and it works great. Although I still mount my light on my handle using a handle bracket from DELVCAM, as I use the large Sony LED light and like the light in on my handle for better balance.

Using this will free up having to mount a large box under your camera.
