Reading Timecode in Audition
Hello,
I recorded video with timecode from my Canon xl2. I am able to see the timecode when I open the file in Adobe Premiere but do not see how to view the timecode using Adobe Audition. Is it possible to see the timecode in Audition (I have version 3)? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, Michelle |
As far as I know there are only three ways to read audio timecode (LTC) using a computer.
1. Import into AVID. 2. Import into Final Cut Pro using a tool from www.videotoolshed.com 3. Play the timecode track back into a slate. (I don't know if this counts, exactly.) If you find a way to do it in Audition I would love to know! Best of luck. |
Presumably the audio is captured with the video and then must be exported for use with Audition? The trick would be to export in a time tagged file format (such as BWF). Audition should then be able to read the time code tag and calculate the time of each sample in the file from it.
