Clip for ME-4 lavalier

Has anyone found a good way to clip the ME-4 to clothes? I never had a problem with ME-2. That clip worked fine and I wish I could use it on the ME-4 but the round head is too big. The plastic gator that is provided is horrible. When it does work, its so obtrusive. I tried to gaff tape the mic to the inside of a woman's shirt yesterday, but the tape didn't stick. And then there's all the rubbing from the fabric. The soft foam head didn't cut down on the rubbing either of course.

Any way, I like the sound from the mic. I'd just like to figure out how to apply it so that the microphone isn't the focal point of the video.

I use the Tram cable clip vampire on a number of different mics. A lot of lav's cables are close enough in size that many manufactors of that type of clip. ie; mic attached to cable instead of mic body) could work.

I am not familiar with the ME-4, but the Audio-Technica AT8417 seems to fit most lavs. It's $10 at B&H.
